West Ham and Wolverhampton play in Jacksonville

Premier League football is returning to the First Coast for the first time in almost a decade.

English soccer clubs West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers will play a preseason match at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville on July 27 at 7 p.m.

London-based West Ham and Wolverhampton are currently ninth and twelfth respectively in the 2023-2024 Premier League table, with two weeks to go.

The match is the first involving an English club in Jacksonville since Fulham, led by Jaguars owner Shad Khan, played DC United in Major League Soccer on July 26, 2024. That game also served as the grand opening for the stadium’s new video boards.

Tickets go on sale on Friday to supporters of the respective clubs, with sales to the general public starting on Monday.

This is a development story.
