IPL 2024 Playoffs race after SRH vs LSG: Sunrisers Hyderabad replaces CSK in third place; Mumbai Indians are out

Sunrisers Hyderabad recorded a 10-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday in the ongoing Indian Premier League season as the hosts restricted the attendance to 165 for losing 4 wickets in 20 overs before chasing the target with 62 deliveries left.

The win meant the Hyderabad team climbed to third place in the league while Lucknow remained sixth in the table, but their net run-rate took a major hit after the thumping loss in Hyderabad.

The result also put a spotlight on Mumbai Indians’ chances of securing a play-off spot as the five-time winners were mathematically knocked out of contention for the top four spots after the result.
