Dodger Girls Host FDSH Golf Invitational | News, sports, jobs

The Fort Dodge girls golf team hosted their annual invitational on Friday at the Country Club.

Junior Braxtyn Dencklau placed 13th overall for the Dodgers with a 48-44-92. Dencklau recorded six pars in her round.

Freshman Emma Lloyd (49-56–105) was next in line for FDSH, followed by Alani Crouse (55-56–111) and Felicity Strain (54-64–118). Lloyd’s round was individually in the Top 30 in a field of more than 50 players.

The Dodgers ranked sixth overall with a 426. Waukee Northwest (321) edged out Ames (325) for first place.

Saleah Vivanh-Vong of Des Moines East received a three-over-par 74 for medalists. Hannah Pettitt of Northwest (77) came in second.

Humboldt finished a single shot behind Fort Dodge. The Wildcats were led by McKenna Mathis (99). Jordyn Fritz (107) and Lillian Holm (108) followed.

Kennedy Halling (107) and Ava Peterson (111) ran in Webster City.
